WizTiVi adapts Dailymotion for Neuf Cegetel’s IPTV service
February 25, 2008 – WizTiVi, a subsidiary of the PROSERVIA group, has announced that it has adapted the popular video-sharing website Dailymotion for “Neuf HD TV”, the IPTV service provided by French telco Neuf Cegetel.
The Dailymotion application can be used via the remote control by Neuf HD TV subscribers and has been available on its own channel (100) since February 19th of this year. Dailymotion on TV is the first available application that has been developed by the WizTiVi team.
“With the WizTiVi technology, developed by the PROSERVIA group, TV viewers can now benefit from the best content and main functions of the Dailymotion website, while sitting comfortably on their sofa, surrounded by friends and family,” said Mark Zaleski, Chairman and Managing Director of Dailymotion. “Access to Dailymotion through the TV set is part of our strategy to be present on all types of audiovisual unit and is aimed at the regular site users as well as a new audience.”
WizTiVi recently received an €800,000 grant from the French small and medium enterprises support public agency OSEO, and plans to use the funds to continue developing applications for Web 2.0/TV convergence.
