XAVi launches IPTV set-top box with integrated 802.11n and DVB-T functionality
February 19, 2008 – Taiwanese firm XAVi has launched a new HD-capable IPTV set-top box called the Pisces111, which integrates a built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi receiver and DVB-T tuner.
The Pisces111 IP-STB has three MIMO antennas to deliver fast streaming of video content around the home, as well as DVB-T, DVB-C and DVB-S2 tuners, and can also support H.264/MPEG-2/VC-1 formats and IPV6, in line with other members of the Pisces family of products. A 160 GB hard drive is also optional for the device, and in the future TV conferencing functionality will also be supported, according to XAVi.
