LG Dacom reaches 200,000 subscribers for triple-play offering
February 15, 2008 – Korean telco LG Dacom has reached 200,000 subscribers for its triple-play service, integrating VoIP, IPTV and broadband services.
The company launched the package in June of last year, and also offers two types of double-play service integrating broadband and IPTV or broadband and VoIP. Triple-play subscribers receive a 10% discount for the broadband service, called Xpeed, and a 20% discount for the IPTV service, called myLGtv.
“There will be a rise in subscribers to service bundles including Internet TV, and number portability for Internet phone and real-time Internet TV services - to be introduced sooner or later - will stimulate the increase further,” said the company in a statement.
