Accedo Broadband to present Funspot Arena at IPTV World Forum 2008
February 14, 2008 – Accedo Broadband is to introduce the Funspot Arena, an international multiplayer community for IPTV, at the IPTV World Forum 2008 event, to be held in London this March.
Funspot Arena will allow service providers running IPTV games to connect to Accedo’s international Funspot multiplayer gaming servers and let users play with other users from all over the world. The experience is expected to be further enhanced by international competitions and tournaments for the Funspot Arena community.
“We’re taking the next step in IPTV gaming by launching the Funspot Arena, allowing our IPTV gaming customers to connect to our network of users,” said Michael Lantz, CEO of Accedo Broadband. “The bi-directional capabilities of IPTV and the ease of use of the Funspot Arena concept will add a new dimension to causal gaming on IPTV all over the world.”
One major feature of the Funspot Arena community is that it allows smaller or early-stage IPTV providers to launch multiplayer gaming without the need for hundreds of thousands of subscribers.
Accedo Broadband will also be demonstrating the latest in IP Cable gaming, high-definition IPTV gaming as well as a range of interactive on-demand services for IPTV at Stand #86.
