PARK Media releases 32” and 37” Internet Protocol ready high-definition TVs
November 28, 2007 – US firm PARK Media has announced the launch of new 32" and 37" high-definition LCD TVs designed for the hospitality industry and offered ready for IPTV services, with all the circuitry already integrated into the TV housing.
The TVs come with a high-definition resolution of 1080, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a safety glass screen cover to protect the screen from guest damage. The TVs also feature Wi-Fi connections, a guest accessible slot for an industry standard SD chip to allow guests to view pictures from their digital cameras, and a USB port.
“IPTV will quickly become a major disrupting force that will be expected by travellers, and probably by major franchisers, in the near future,” states Steve Cart, President of PARK Media. “Every hotel that is upgrading to flat-screen televisions should require that their new units have Internet Protocol integrated or they will find themselves doing an upgrade in a year or two.”
