Smart Telecom selects Verimatrix to secure IPTV service

November 28, 2007 – Verimatrix has announced that its Video Content Authority System (VCAS) has been selected by Irish telco Smart Telecom to secure its IPTV service, called “Smart Vision”.

Smart Telecom has invested €2.5mn in its IPTV service, building a Carrier Ethernet network to offer triple play services, including over 100 television and radio channels, to 550,000 homes in Ireland.
