Sagem, Orca Interactive and BitBand partner to deliver end-to-end IPTV solution for UNE-EPM Telecommunications
November 12, 2007 – Sagem Communications, Orca Interactive and BitBand have announced that they have been selected by Colombian telco UNE-EPM Telecommunications to jointly deliver a powerful end-to-end IPTV solution.
Orca Interactive is expected to provide the middleware component, while Sagem Communications will provide the customer premises equipment and BitBand will supply the video delivery solutions. The service to be launched in Colombia is expected to offer fast channel zapping, on-demand content, top quality picture even over low quality access lines, and the ability to pause and rewind live TV.
