Pace selects PartnerTech for set-top box new product introduction and prototyping
November 8, 2007 – UK firm Pace Micro Technology has selected PartnerTech to deliver a fast-turnaround new product introduction (NPI) and prototyping service for its range of set-top boxes (STBs).
The services will be delivered from PartnerTech’s UK facilities in Poole and Cambridge. PartnerTech stated it was chosen by Pace due to the need to meet the firm’s quality expectations and deliver against a 1 to 5-day turnaround schedule.
“We have been using PartnerTech’s UK prototyping and PCB assembly services on and off for over 20 years and therefore had no hesitation in outsourcing our NPI business to them when our previous supplier closed its UK operation earlier this year,” said Chris Bew, General Manager of Technical Operations for Pace. “PartnerTech has performed exceptionally so far and has demonstrated its flexibility by reworking its shop floor layout to suit our processes as well as investing in some new equipment to improve prototype verification.”
PartnerTech is one of Europe’s largest business-to-business contract manufacturing companies with 15 manufacturing centres and sites in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, the UK, the US and China.
