Canadian telco MTS Allstream announces milestone of 75,000 subscribers for MTS TV
November 1, 2007 – Canadian telco MTS Allstream has announced that it has reached 75,000 subscribers for its “MTS TV” IPTV service, offered in the city of Winnipeg.
The telco has reported that its IPTV service has grown by 30,000 customers in the past two years, and 5,000 subscribers since April of this year.
“We are very excited that MTS TV continues to make outstanding progress in the marketplace,” said Kelvin Shepherd, President of the Consumer Markets division for MTS Allstream. “Our customers value the variety of channel packages, the high quality 100% digital picture and sound, and the unique features that allow them to make the most of their bundled MTS services.”
Features offered on MTS TV include Video on Demand, high definition channels, TV Call Display, Photos on Demand and Email on Demand.
Ther are currently four IPTV services offered in Canada – Aliant TV, MTS TV, Sasktel Max and Telus TV, totalling an estimated 150,000 subscribers.
