Harmonic profits reach US$ 11.9mn in Q3
October 24, 2007 Harmonic has announced that its profits reached US$ 11.9mn in the third quarter of 2007, compared to US$ 7.5mn from the same period of the previous year.
Net sales were reported to have reached US$ 82.3mn in the period, up 31% from the US$ 62.9mn posted in the third quarter of 2006. The company forecasts combined sales for the fourth quarter of this year and first quarter of next year to reach between US$ 155mn and US$ 165mn.
We are very pleased with our strong sales and earnings growth, as well as our improved gross margins and operating efficiencies, for the third quarter and for the year-to-date, said Patrick Harshman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
In the emerging IPTV market, our IP-based video solutions have been winning new business with telco companies worldwide and, increasingly, drive network expansions for existing global telco customers.
