Amino’s AmiNET130 set-top box completes MPEGIF Logo Qualification Program for MPEG-4 AVC/H.264
October 22, 2007 – Amino has announced that its AmiNET130 set-top box (STB) is the first high-definition MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 IPTV set-top box to meet the Premium Conformance Tier of the MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) Logo Qualification Program.
“We are welcoming Amino as a new member of MPEGIF and are delighted that the HD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 capable AmiNET130 IPTV STB has successfully participated in our MPEGIF Logo Qualification Program,” said Sebastian Moeritz, President of the MPEG Industry Forum.
Dominique Le Foll, Vice President of Engineering for Amino, said “It is a pleasure to join MPEGIF, an international not-for-profit organization championing the adoption of MPEG standards.”
The AmiNET130 enables service providers to offer digital high-definition TV as multicast, on-demand video and multi-room IPTV services, and is also capable of displaying high-definition graphics for high-definition gaming.
The MPEG Industry Forum currently represents over 40 international companies and organisations from diverse industries.
