Verizon adds more channels to FiOS service

October 17, 2007 – US telco Verizon has added two new channels to its FiOS fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) IPTV service, A&E in high-definition and the FOX Business Network.

A&E HD offers movies, dramatic series and real-life series such as ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels’ and high-profile off-network series such as ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘The Sopranos’.  FOX Business Network is a financial news channel delivering real-time information.  The two additions bring the total number of channels to over 200.

“”We’re continuing to add great programming to keep Verizon FiOS TV at the head of the pack,” said Terry Denson, Vice President of Verizon FiOS TV content and programming.  “Customers deserve it, and we’re determined to stay No. 1.”
