Telefónica to upgrade Imagenio IPTV service in November

October 4, 2007 – Telefónica is to upgrade its Imagenio IPTV service in November this year, according to news portal CabSat Daily.

Speaking to General Manager Antonio Viana-Baptista, the news portal reports that the service, delivered in Telefónica’s native market of Spain, will increase the number of channels available from 120 to 160, as well as offering new pause, rewind and record functions.

The expanded service will also enable users to access programmes from Spain’s commercial channels on-demand for up to a week after they were initially broadcasted, and reports have also emerged that new high-definition content may be included as part of the expansion.  No pricing plans have been revealed for the upgraded service.
