Dimetis installs end-to-end IPTV monitoring system for HanseNet

August 15, 2007 – Dimetis, a German broadcast Operations Support Systems (OSS) supplier, has announced that it has signed a contract with German telco HanseNet to install its BOSS BROADCAST NetView IPTV monitoring system into the HanseNet network in Hamburg.

The BOSS BROADCAST NetView IPTV monitoring system offers automated Quality of Service (QoS), monitoring, alarm, fault location and service protection, and a centralised fault management system, amongst other features.

“The Dimetis BOSS Netview offering will allow us to more easily measure and confirm service level agreements and ensure the best quality of service and quality of experience for everyone across our delivery chain,” stated Fabian Buehring, Head of IPTV for HanseNet.  “The overall benefits of centralised and automated QoS alarms lower our capex and opex by providing fast fault location and service protection for both our IPTV services.”

HanseNet has more than 2.1mn broadband customers and is one of the three largest ISPs in Germany.
