O2 TV passes 40,000 subscribersAugust 1, 2007 - O2 TV, an IPTV service provided in the Czech Republic by Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, has recently passed 40,000 subscribers, the company has announced.
Uptake of the service was reportedly aided by customer interest in the company’s Trio package, which combines digital television, high-speed Internet and free calls, as well as the impending national switch from analogue to digital TV transmissions. “Over 40,000 O2 TV customers in ten months since the service was launched is a clear indication of the extraordinary interest in this product during a period of tough competition in the field of pay-TV,” commented Bohdan Tetiva, Marketing Officer for products, Telefonica O2 Czech Republic. “O2 TV digital television is a simple solution for households in areas switching from analogue to terrestrial transmission.” O2 TV digital television offers 38 television channels and 17 radio stations in digital quality, as well as a movie library and an archive of previously broadcast TV shows and 3D films. |
