Brix Networks announces IP Service Management Portal enabling service providers to understand customer experience and loyalty

Brix Networks, provider of converged service assurance solutions, has introduced its BrixView analytics and visualization software toolkit that claims to provide communications service providers (CSPs) with information to assure a high quality of experience (QoE) for their customers, along with IP quality metrics to connect network and service performance with subscriber churn and service uptake rates.

BrixView uses as a foundation the key performance metrics that come from the company's award-winning BrixWorx correlation engine. The new BrixView portal consolidates information and simplifies the processes of data mining, searches, trending, and pattern analysis, enables information sharing throughout an organization for more informed and faster business decisions, and can locate, diagnose, and prioritize service issues.

"With this announcement, Brix Networks is expanding its deep IP expertise and operational value to include vital service management functionality," said Patrick Kelly, co-founder and senior analyst at market research firm OSS Observer. "BrixView allows CSPs to translate converged service quality metrics from a broad base of sources into actionable information that helps business managers and service owners construct realistic SLAs, characterize service behavior, and monitor the overall quality of each service and its business impact on a given set of customers."

According to Steve DesRochers, vice president, solutions, at Brix Networks, "BrixView allows our customers to streamline the development of service management reports that drive their strategic decisions. We work with our customers and partners to simplify the consolidation of OSS systems, improve legacy-to-IP migration, and provide necessary linkages to other back-office systems, including billing and provisioning. By presenting the right data, at the right time, in the right format, BrixView gives business owners and executives the information and insights they need to make intelligent decisions and drive business value for their organizations."
