    Worldwide IPTV subs up 36% in 2012

    Demand for IPTV services picked up "significantly" last year, according to US research firm MRG, which estimates that the number of IPTV subscribers worldwide rose 36% in 2012 to reach 77mn, with strong growth in all geographic regions.

    Du sees small TV gain

    Du, one of the two main telcos in the United Arab Emirates, saw a small improvement in the number of subscribers for its IPTV service during the first quarter of this year to reach 124,000, up 6% annually.
