Sky Q goes on sale in UK

Sky’s next generation home entertainment system Sky Q is available to buy now in the UK.

Claiming to completely reinvent the viewing experience, Sky Q gives viewers the option to pause in one room and carry on in another, as well as the ability to take recordings with you wherever you go – a first in the UK and Ireland. Meanwhile, the new Sky Q touch remote works without having to pointed at the screen.

The first Sky Q customers will be installed at the end of the month and will get a full professional installation as part of the set-up cost. Set-up costs will be from £99. The typical monthly cost for existing Sky+ customers will only be around an extra £12 compared with their current Sky+ package.  For new customers joining Sky, the ongoing monthly cost for Sky Q will start from £42.

At this year’s TV Connect (26th – 28th April 2016 ExCeL, London) , Sky News’ Hugh Westbrook will be looking at ‘Unleashing the true potential of content’
