Twitter integrates Periscope on iOS

Twitter has integrated its video sharing app Periscope for iOS users.

Presently, whenever a broadcast is shared on Twitter, users can tap the link to open the Periscope app. Now, this link is set to be replaced by the broadcast itself, autoplaying within the Tweet itself, without any need for the Periscope app.

The feature is being rolled out on Twitter for iOS over the next few days, with plans to extend it on Android and the wider web in the future.

“For broadcasters, this means you can reach the massive Twitter audience,” explains a Periscope blog post. “And for everyone on Twitter, there’s now a richer experience in your home timeline, search results, and on anyone’s profile who’s shared a Periscope.”
