Motive Television has developed a beta version of its TabletTV App for the new Apple Television platform and submitted it for review by Apple prior to release.

This beta version of the TabletTV App for Apple TV will enable users who have TPod tuner antennas in the United States to download the Apple TV version of the App, and use the TPod to watch available over-the-air networks and local channels on their main televisions via Apple TV.  These channels are not otherwise viewable on the Apple TV platform and contain much of the most popular entertainment, sports, and information content in the United States market.

Future updates to the newest member of the TabletTV family will add the PVR/DVR functionalities and added features found in TabletTV US.  Users of TabletTV Plus in the United States will be able to download the Apple TV version of the App without additional cost whereas new users will need to buy a TPod.

“The addition of the Apple TV platform to the options available to TabletTV Plus users represents an added convenience for viewers and an additional sales channel for TabletTV,” comments Leonard M Fertig, CEO of Motive. “Given the rapidly growing interest and take-up of TabletTV Plus in the US, the company anticipates that the widespread popularity of Apple TV will provide additional revenues beyond prior expectations.”
