The Weather Network is now available on Apple TV, offering users quick and easy access to localised weather forecasts and personalised content.

“The Weather Network team is dedicated to providing users with the most compelling experience possible, and Apple has helped us deliver on this promise,” comments Naomi Lipowski, Director TV Apps and Emerging Platforms, Pelmorex Media Inc. “We look forward to continuing our partnership as we bring new technology and weather services to the United Kingdom.”

Adding to The Weather Network’s expanding app family, this inaugural Apple TV app embodies The Weather Network’s commitment to Over the Top (OTT) technology.

“The interactive TV app market is a fast-moving category, and as television viewing habits continue to evolve, we will continue to pursue opportunities that will help us remain on the forefront of where our users are headed,” adds Pierre Morrissette, Chairman, President and CEO, Pelmorex Media Inc. “The Apple TV app is just the next step in The Weather Network’s continued leadership in international weather apps.”
