AMC Networks International has entered an agreement with Orange S.A. to launch Sundance Channel Global on Orange TV through its ADSL fibre and satellite platforms in France.

Sundance Channel, which broadcasts exclusive independent feature films and documentaries as well as original drama series celebrating the spirit of the Sundance Film Festival, launched on 8 October as part of Orange’s Cinema and Series TV package as a 24/7 linear channel.

“This exciting launch will significantly extend the reach of Sundance Channel in France,” explains Bruce Tuchman, President of AMC and Sundance Channel Global, said. “AMC Networks International has experienced record-breaking growth with new distribution agreements on television platforms around the world and we’re looking forward to working closely with Orange to deliver original dramatic series as well as the best in independent cinema.”
