Sky News and BBC News has joined with Apple to be part of its UK launch of Apple News.

The app, already available in the US, will enable millions of Apple News customers in the UK to access and customise Sky News and BBC News’ feeds – among others – directly on their mobile devices further extending Sky News’ digital reach.

“Sky News is always interested in embracing technology that lets us reach our customers wherever they want to access our content,” comments Andrew Hawken, Director of Products, Sky News. “I’m thrilled that our world-class journalism is now being showcased to millions of Apple News customers both in the UK and the US. This is an exciting time for Sky News’ digital development.”

At the OTTtv World Summit (9th – 12th November) in London, Facebook, Instagram and Sky Atlantic will be joining forces to tell the story of how they made Series 5 of the world’s biggest TV show, Game of Thrones, a record-breaking success.
