Microsoft to launch over the air DVR for Xbox One

At video gaming event gamescom in Cologne this week, Microsoft unveiled a new over the air DVR for recording on the Xbox One.

With the new feature, once an Xbox One is set up for over-the-air TV, viewers only have to plug in a USB hard drive into the console and record the content.

New features include the ability to watch recorded shows on mobile devices and schedule recordings on-the-go. Users can also add, review and edit scheduled recordings from your PC, tablet or phone elsewhere. Microsoft stressed that the recording will have no impact on gameplay activities or users’ ability to save to the console.
