Virgin appoints Chief Digital Entertainment Officer

UK service provider Virgin Media has announced the appointment of David Bouchier as its first Chief Digital Entertainment Officer.

In this newly created role, Bouchier will bring together and lead the Content, Programming and Digital Entertainment teams at Virgin Media as the cable operator seeks to further develop its award winning TV and entertainment proposition.

David Bouchier is a veteran of the European pay TV industry with several decades of extensive experience working with businesses in the UK, Germany and Italy.

“I am delighted we have secured an executive of David’s calibre to lead our digital entertainment business,” comments Tom Mockridge, Virgin Media Chief Executive Officer. “His depth of experience will help us develop the true potential of the award winning TV and entertainment services offered by Virgin Media.”
