Celeno Communications  and Marvell have announced a partnership that will see Marvell’s ARMADA 1500 family of multi-media processors and connectivity solution combined with Celeno’s 802.11ac Access Point chips to power a wireless video experience in the home that can reliably handle 4K or HD video streaming alongside regular data applications.

This combined solution is designed to meet the growing demand for linear TV, Video-on-Demand and OTT services to multiple screens and mobile devices throughout the home, all while ensuring the highest levels of reliability and performance.

“With more connected devices per home and more services per device, consumer demands on home Wi-Fi are increasing exponentially, with wireless video one of the biggest drains on bandwidth,” comments Philip Poulidis, SVP & GM of IoT BU at Marvell. “Partnering with Celeno allows us to incorporate truly smart Wi-Fi technology along with Wave 2 capabilities so that together, our solution ensures that wireless home networking can keep up with the most demanding of video applications.”
