Irdeto names new CEO

Doug Lowther will be assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer at Irdeto following Graham Kill’s resignation in September 2014.

Lowther joins Irdeto from International Datacasting Corporation (IDC), where he currently serves as CEO. Prior to IDC, Mr. Lowther was EVP of Irdeto’s Digital TV business and had been with the company for over nine years.

“It is an honor for me to return to Irdeto at a time when the company holds a strong market position and is exploring many exciting areas of expansion,” says Doug Lowther. “I look forward to continuing Irdeto’s proud tradition of enabling operators and content owners to grow revenues through innovative solutions that deliver the world’s best content to any screen.”

Additionally, Irdeto recently appointed Andrew Bunten as Chief Financial Officer effective February 1, 2015.
