Taking cool advantage of all that Valentine’s Day hype surrounding the theatrical release of Fifty Shades of Grey, internet TV service Netflix has announced an exclusive new movie starring Fifty Shade star Jaime Dornan.

The new title, war thriller Jadotville, also starring Guillaume Canet (Tell No One), will be available across all territories in 2016. Netflix acquired the rights at the 2015 Berlin Film Festival. The film will go into production in April.

“The story of how Pat Quinlan led his troops against an overwhelming force without losing a single man is one of the great stories of the 20th century, and we are proud to be working with such a talented and committed team to bring it to life,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “This film will be an amazing addition to our global original films initiative.”

This year’s TV Connect (28th – 30th April 2015 ExCel, London) sees Xavier Amatrain, Research and Engineering Director, Netflix, delivering a special keynote, while BT’s Jerome Tassel will be asking ‘Who Can Push Netflix into Check?’ Click here to download the brochure.
