UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4 has named its new chief technology officer: Orpheus Warr.

In his new role, Warr will be responsible for Channel 4’s overall technical strategy, architecture and R&D activity.

Orpheus was previously Channel 4’s Chief Architect and Head of Technical Strategy.

“Orf’s promotion to CTO is richly deserved,” comments Keith Underwood, Director of Strategy & Technology. “He is an incredible talent who has a very strong track record in developing ground-breaking technical solutions which enable business transformation. As CTO, Orf has a central role in Channel 4’s on-going programme of investment in innovation.”
