Tata Sky launches India’s first 4K set top

Direct-To-Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has launched what it is calling India’s first 4K set top box (STB).

The launch plans were unveiled in July last year when Tata Sky showcased the FIFA World Cup Quarter final match in 4K.

Apart from relaying 4K content, the box will also showcase Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) channels. The 4K set top boxes can be pre-booked through the Tata Sky 24X7 helpline, Tata Sky website and dealers.

Prospective subscribers can now book their Tata Sky 4K set top box at Rs 6,400 while existing subscribers can get the box at Rs. 5,900.
