Sky Deutschland is making its multiscreen Sky Go service available on Android.

“We are pleased that we are expanding the range of devices on which customers can use Sky Go,” says Euan Smith, Executive Vice President Product & Operations at Sky Deutschland. “To begin with, we are making our premium content available – live and on demand – on nine of the most popular Android smartphones and tablets.”

The first wave of supported devices are: Google Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, S5, Note 2, Note 3, Note 10.1 and Tab 3 (10.1). More are to follow.

The service has proved very popular already. Over the course of Q1 2014/15, the number of customer sessions grew to 26 million, bringing the total number of customer sessions over the past twelve months to 100 million.
