OTT service is preparing for an “aggressive roll-out plan” across Europe, intending to launch in up to eleven new markets by the end of 2015.

The blueprint was revealed by Simon Homent,’s European Head of Content, during his keynote at this morning’s OTTtv World Summit at the Millennium Gloucester in London.

“Our plan for between now and the end of next year is to launch in another ten or eleven countries in some of the more obvious markets” revealed Homent.

Later alluding to the same number, Homent spoke of the attendant growth challenges the prospective roll-out presents: “We’ve got ten or eleven more countries we’re going to launch next year,” he explained, “so how do we make sure we can scale all of that stuff up to make sure we can do a very fast roll-out across the rest of Europe? We’ve spent about 6 or 8 months building these platforms, mostly in house, to make sure we can switch on extra countries very, very quickly to help us achieve the aggressive roll-out plan that we have for next year.”
