YouTube boosts Google Chromecast presence

YouTube is adding an update to enable those using the platform via Google’s Chromecast streaming dongle to watch a video while simultaneously browsing and lining up additional videos.

This should enable users to minimise what YouTube calls the “sea of browser tabs.” It adds: “Now you can keep playing a video as you browse and queue the next ones to play – all in one tab.”

Furthermore, within the next few days Chromecast viewers will see a new look for the watch page on that enables them to more easily create playlists and share videos across social media, as well as puts the entire video description in one spot.
