Vimeo On Demand expands content distribution partnerships

Vimeo today announced a significant expansion of its content library and upcoming, ongoing new releases for Vimeo On Demand with a new slate of distribution partnerships covering variety of interests. New content distribution partners include BFS Entertainment & Multimedia Limited, Drafthouse Films, Gaiam, Gravitas Ventures, Inception Media Group, MarVista Digital Entertainment (MVDE) and X-Treme Video.

Vimeo’s ongoing focus on its Video On Demand was underscored when IP&TV News spoke to Vimeo CTO Andrew Pile in a recent feature article. “It really hits a sweet spot for us,” Pile explained, “because we have so many high end creators already on Vimeo putting their work up and trying to make a name for themselves, and a lot of them have built followings. Anyone who’s serious about selling their work themselves should really be doing it on Vimeo.”
