VIVA Indonesia broadcasting the World Cup with Cinegy

Last month the Indonesia VIVA Media Group, a media investment holding company which owns free-to-air television channels TVOne and ANTV and online news portal Vivanews,  finalised its Cinegy installation in order to produce and broadcast the World Cup Brazil 2014 to its viewers in Indonesia.

“As a DTH operator we were looking for a Playout solution for 8 channels, which required simultaneous SD and HD playout from one playlist.  In the bidding process we sent  invitations to 6 vendors  and only Cinegy matched all our requirements” says  Priyono B Soepanto, Vice President of Technologies.

Prior to installing Cinegy, VIVA faced many challenges with their production workflow which they needed to streamline with one solution. Along with installing Cinegy Air for their playout requirements, VIVA are also to install an entire end to end collaborative workflow based on Cinegy to cover their MAM, Editing, Workflow and Archiving requirements.

“Having an entire end to end solution base from one vendor will be a massive benefit to us. From ingest to Playout and IP based – we can be assured that our collaborative, non-linear solution from Cinegy is future proof” says Priyono B Soepanto, Vice President of Technologies.
