Movea enables new gesture-based Samsung Smart TVs

Movea, a leader in data fusion and motion-sensing technology for consumer electronics, today announced that Samsung Electronics is using the Movea SmartMotion technology in its latest line of Smart TVs. Movea’s leading-edge technology, based on its industry-recognized IP portfolio,  enhances Samsung’s Smart TV user experience, delivering gesture based intuitive user interaction for improved content navigation, motion gaming and web browsing.

Movea provides the industry’s most accurate and responsive point-and-click technology, reducing drift and latency while using as little of the central processing unit as possible. Movea’s fully optimized system solution, notably its memory footprint for overall system performance, enables Samsung to offer natural and efficient SmartTV user interactions and rich user interfaces.

“Movea and Samsung are leading the charge in addressing consumers’ increasing appetite for a more powerful and intuitive home theater experience,” says Wahid Issa, VP Marketing of Movea. “Samsung’s innovative TV technology is now coupled with an in-air point and click navigation to further enhance the Smart TV user experience. This collaboration is another confirmation of Movea’s key IP and product value, further establishing the company as a pioneer in home theater technology.”
