ITV Player hits Sky’s NOW TV Box

The NOW TV Box – the Sky device that turns a TV into a smart TV for under £10 – completes its terrestrial catch-up offering with the arrival of  the ITV Player App.

From today, customers using a NOW TV Box will start to see the ITV Player App automatically download onto their device as part of a phased rolled out over the coming weeks, letting them easily catch-up on a selection of content from ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 and CITV from the last 30 days on their main TV.

This summer, those with a NOW TV Box can enjoy a carnival of footballing action through the App with all the drama of ITV’s 34 World Cup matches being made available on demand through ITV Player. And it doesn’t stop there – never miss episodes of popular shows such as Coronation Street, Midsomer Murders or Emmerdale again.

ITV Player is the latest terrestrial catch-up TV service to launch on the NOW TV Box, which already offers BBC iPlayer, 4oD and Demand 5, adding hours of new content for customers to enjoy at no extra cost.

“The NOW TV Box is already great value for money and now with the addition of ITV Player there is even more great content to enjoy on your main TV,” comments Gidon Katz, Director of NOW TV. “Combining World Cup action and award winning soaps with the flexibility to dip in and out of great movies, entertainment or sport from NOW TV, our little box has all bases covered.”
