BBC Sport kicks off on Roku

Roku Inc. today announced the launch of BBC Sport on the Roku streaming platform. BBC Sport brings the latest sporting news, live action and highlights to Roku customers in the UK and is available on current-generation Roku players including the newly launched Roku Streaming Stick (HDMI version).

BBC Sport extends Roku’s extensive library of UK content in time for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil. BBC Sport will provide live coverage of the 31 games that the BBC will air, as well as comprehensive football news, analysis, match stats and live scores.

“The Roku streaming platform offers the best viewing experience and we are pleased to bring more sporting programmes to our UK customers,” says Ed Lee, vice president of content acquisition at Roku. “This new addition brings a wide range of content for sports fans, including must-see sports events that can be watched live or on catch-up.”
