CANAL+ selects HUBEE for Freebox & Android app

HUBEE, the renowned creator of services for Freebox, has been selected by CANAL + to redesign its application on both the visual and technical level.

With a view to offering Internet users a “simpler, more fluid and more practical access” to the Freebox platform, new functionalities will be made available:

  • Personalized recommendations, available upon access, highlight the programs that correspond to each person’s tastes;
  • A streaming system for continual watching of series episodes
  • And  picking up system, to recover the viewing at the right spot;
  • More comprehensive descriptive program sheets; than now offer similar contents and notation program,
  • And even Canal Play Kids, a completely secured interface dedicated to children.

Starting April, the CANALPLAY application developed by HUBEE for Android (Smartphones, Phablets and Tablets) will offer an exceptional partnership with ChromeCast Technology.

This solution will make it possible, from the CANALPLAY application to remotely view videos, using Wi-Fi. In other words, subscribers can now start playing a program on smartphone or tablet to finish on the TV screen.
