Amazon Fire TV finally unveiled

Amazon have finally unveiled Amazon Fire TV, its  streaming media device.

The small set-top box has been designed by Amazon to compete with Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast in the streaming TV battle.

Available as of now, the fireTV will include a voice-activated search, can double as a gaming console and will cost $99, or the same as Apple TV.

“We wanted to build a streaming media device that allowed customers to play a variety of games at affordable prices,” explained a company spokesperson during Wednesday’s launch event. “By next month, thousands of games will be available for customers to play. Customers can use the fireTV remote, and they can also use an app for phones or tablets as a controller. There is also a dedicated game controller available as an accessory.”
