Apple & Comcast in TV talks

According to reports in the Wall Street Journal, Apple is in talks with Comcast, discussing the possibility of a joint streaming service utilising an Apple STB, and allowing users to stream from the cloud.

Although the two parties are purportedly not yet close to sealing a deal, Apple apparently wants the new service’s traffic to be separated from public Internet traffic over the “last mile”—the easily congested final portion of a cable operator’s pipes.
