Shortlist revealed for TV Connect Awards 2014

TV Connect, the world’s leading connected entertainment event, today announced the shortlist for the TV Connect Awards 2014.  Each year, the TV Connect Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and achievements in the connected entertainment industry. The 10th edition of TV Connect demonstrates a significant shift from traditional broadcast to multiscreen, reflecting the industry’s evolution from single screen to TV Everywhere which is beginning to establish itself as the cornerstone of television.

The shortlist includes market leading players and the best new emerging talent in the connected TV industry. It celebrates the best innovations and solutions in the global IP, TV and connected entertainment markets today. The highly distinguished judging panel provided insight from industry analysts as well as a host of senior representatives from leading service providers and vendors.

Joanna Jones, Events Director for TV Connect, Informa, comments: “Our tenth anniversary shortlist reflects just how much television has changed in the last decade, moving from the relatively straightforward delivery to the TV to providing a rich tapestry of linear and interactive experiences on just about any device with a screen.”

“We have received a record number of submissions this year, demonstrating the creative whirlpool happening right now in the industry. The awards acknowledge the great innovations and technologies which are reshaping our industry, and I look forward to celebrating the innovation of this exciting industry at BAFTA on the 19th March.”
