Sky Deutschland’s Snap hits iOS

Yesterday the new Sky Deutschland  online media  library was launched  on the iPhone and iPod touch. As a result, customers will have the opportunity to watch on their smartphones a unique variety of thousands of titles from the Sky Collection  including complete  seasons of award-winning series, movies and a large selection of children’s programming.  Customers can choose whether they would like to watch titles in German or the original language. Many movies and series can be downloaded directly to the iPhone and watched offline anywhere, no matter if the customer happens to be on a plane or lying on a sofa. Content can also be transferred directly from the iPhone to the TV set via AirPlay on Apple TV.

“We have successfully launched Snap just in time for the holiday season with a great customer response,” says Alice Mascia, Vice President Strategy at Sky Deutschland. “I am delighted that we are extending the product range right after the launch and that our customers can now also use Snap with their iPhones and iPod touch. But that’s not all: we will expand the portfolio even further to let our customers watch Snap on their favorite devices.”

Snap is now available via the web, iPad, iPhone and Samsung  Smart TVs. Samsung Galaxy products  as well as other platforms and devices will follow.
