New Belgacom CEO appointed

Stefaan De Clerck and Ray Stewart, who have been heading up Belgacom together since 16 November, have declared themselves delighted with the Belgian Government’s appointment – at Minister Jean-Pascal Labille’s proposal – of Dominique Leroy as the new CEO of Belgacom for a six-year term.

Dominique Leroy has been working at Belgacom since 2011 and has been Executive Vice President of the Consumer Business Unit since 2012. She is also on the Board of Lotus Bakeries.

Chairman Stefaan De Clerck is convinced that under Dominique Leroy’s leadership, Belgacom will be able to meet the challenges appearing on the horizon. She can rely on the support of the Belgacom team, assured that it will collaborate fully on this important task.

“Belgacom is a splendid company with talented employees and excellent products and services,” says the new CEO. “The recent market changes pose new challenges for us, but I’m convinced that we have all the assets to meet those successfully and serve our many customers ever better by fulfilling their daily needs for digital products and services. I have great confidence in the future.”
