TRACE Urban has signed a carriage deal with nc+, one of the leading premium pay-TV platforms in Poland, with around 2.2 million subscribers. The new agreement saw TRACE Urban launch in the basic tier of NC+ on Friday 6th December.

TRACE Urban combines top music videos from genres such as R&B, hip hop and dance, with exclusive celebrity interviews and original features related to urban culture, and will be available via the Comfort+ pack for all nc+ subscribers.

The new deal marks another step in the continued growth of the channel since its launch in 2003. It brings the number of countries in which TRACE Urban is available to more than 130 and further strengthens its position as the world’s number one international urban music channel.

Commenting on the agreement, Olivier Laouchez, Founder & CEO of TRACE TV, says: “This is a landmark deal for TRACE in a region that sets the perfect base for further global expansion. CANAL+ has been a key partner for TRACE in Poland since 2006 and we’re delighted to sign this deal with the newly merged n and Canal+ platforms. As urban music continues to grow in popularity around the world, TRACE Urban gives viewers the chance to enjoy all the latest hits, and discover what happens in the lives of the world’s biggest urban music stars. The deal comes as nc+ responds to viewer demand for more music content that appeals to a younger audience and sits perfectly alongside the variety of services people in Poland use to consume music.”

nc+ were keen to further diversify their channel offering to satisfy demand from their diverse range of customers.

“We are constantly working on improving the programming offer available on the nc+ platform. We carefully listen to the voices of our customers and we conduct analysis of programs available on the market to meet the expectations of diverse client groups and maintain the greatest diversity of our offer.” – says Arkadiusz Mierzwa, nc+ Director of Communications and PR. “We are happy to welcome new music channel – TRACE Urban – to the nc+ channel family. We are confident it will be appreciated by our clients, because everybody loves good music.”
