Liberty Global appoint new MD of European Mobile Operations

Graeme Oxby (until recently Virgin Media Executive Director, Mobile & Home Phone) has been appointed Managing Director, European Mobile Operations of Liberty Global. In this new role Graeme will further develop Liberty Global’s core mobile network to become a full MVNO operator in most of its European operations: in the UK via Virgin Media and in Belgium via Telenet Liberty Global has already been building a successful MVNO business.

Graeme Oxby has many years of experience and a proven track record in the mobile industry. He became Managing Director of Virgin Mobile in 2007 and later became responsible for Virgin Media’s Home and Mobile Phone businesses. Before moving to Virgin Media, Graeme spent six years at mobile operator Three, including four years as Marketing Director. Prior to his time at Three, Graeme worked as Vice President of Global Mobile for Cable and Wireless, after three years at Orange.

Liberty Global is the largest international cable company with operations in 14 countries.
