Airtel Digital TV launch new SD STB

Airtel Digital TV, the DTH service arm of leading Indian telecom operator Bharti Airtel, today launched an all new standard definition (SD) set-top box with a recording feature.

Available for just Rs. 2000/- (about £20), this STB will allow customers to record their favourite TV programmes and watch them when it suits with a DVD-like control of TV viewing that includes pause, rewind, slow-motion viewing & fast-forward features.

Customer can plug-in their own external storage device into the Airtel Digital TV+ STB to start recording and can schedule the recordings via mobile or internet. They can also record on an external storage device of up-to 2 Terabytes and create an unlimited personal content library by using multiple storage devices for their recordings.
