BSkyB Catch UP TV box catches up

Almost a year to the day that BSkyB launched their popular catch-up service Catch Up TV, the UK satellite TV provider has announced that the it is to be expanded by 12 new channels. All these channels – Discovery, TLC, E!, Star, Watch, Gold, Dave, Alibi, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito and Sky News – will henceforth be included free of charge.

BskyB will also be expanding their Box Sets platform this autumn (a service available for Sky+HD box owners and Sky Go users). Classic US series such as Game of Thrones , The SopranosMad Men, Seinfeld and The Wire have all been added, as have classic British ones such as I’m Alan PartridgeExtras, An Idiot Abroad and The Inbetweeners.

“We know how important it is for our customers to have the flexibility to watch the shows everyone is talking about when it suits them. That’s why this autumn we are introducing more TV series to our TV Box Set service, to ensure we have Box Sets of the latest and greatest shows ready for customers to catch up on whenever they want,” says Luke Bradley-Jones, brand director of TV products at Sky.
