STDC/Informa golf day goes with a swing

The annual Informa/SCTE golf day went with a swing on 7 August at Hanbury Manor, Ware (UK).

The event included a day’s play on the championship golf course, a three-course dinner, as well as prizes and gifts for the winners. SCTE members enjoyed special discounted rates to play.

Informa’s Barry Killingrey said: “Since 2009, Informa has teed up with the SCTE to co-locate our golf days. These attract an average of 16 teams and 64 players.”

“Some of the most effective business is done on the golf course.”

Team winners, taking the coveted SCTE/Informa Golf trophy, were the Flomatik team of Alistair Crook, Ben Cleave and Brian Lauchlan. Miranda Technologies came in second.

The individual winner was Ben Cleave, followed by Alistair Crook and Alan Henry.

Andrew Corser won the putting competition and the prize for longest drive went to Marc Wallentin. Nearest-to-the-pin winners were Anand Shah, Stewart Pert, Andrew Corser and Frank Summerfield.
