Numericable offers French IPTV product

French cableco Numericable is extending its reach beyond traditional cable coverage area, with the launch of an IPTV product in partnership with OTT provider TeVolution.

The company is offering a triple-play ADSL product beyond its regular cable package.

Numericable is offering three packages: iStart at €24.90 per month, offering 20Mbps internet access and unlimited calling within France and 100 countries; essentiel at €3.90 per month plus 50 TV channels; and max at €42.90 per month (€37.90 for the first 12 months), with 83 TV channels. TV subscribers also need a special HD box for €5 per month.

TeVolution is providing its connected TV services through a hybrid IPTV box. Users can buy the box outright for €79, or take subscriptions ranging from €3.99 to €14.99.

Subscribers need a minimum 2MBps ADSL connection to receive the TV service.
